Breast uplift surgery also known as Mastopexy surgery is a procedure which involves removing excess skin from underneath your breast or from around the area of dark tissue that surrounds your nipple (areola).
Your surgeon will tighten the skin and tissue of your breast and move your nipple to a higher position to give a more youthful and firm appearance.
The risks of this procedure can include;
- Asymmetry/Synmastia (uneven breasts/nipples)
- Altered nipple sensation
- Bleeding or haematoma
- Difficulty breast feeding
With all cosmetic surgery procedures there are risks. However, these risks should be managed and minimised. If problems arise because of poor management of these risks, individuals may have grounds to claim for compensation.
If you have suffered from any of the above issues or if you are suffering any other problems after undergoing a breast uplift, contact our all-female specialist team and they will be able to talk to you about your issues and discuss if you have a claim for compensation.
As well as claiming or any pain, suffering and inconvenience, you may be able to claim back additional costs such as:
Remedial surgery – if you have to have your surgery corrected, the additional cost involved could form part of the claim against the surgeon or company that carried out the original operation
Loss of income – if you need to take additional days off work or you are unable to go back to work due to the negligence of the surgeon or company carrying out the procedure, your loss of income will form part of your claim.
If you are suffering or have in the past suffered any of the above problems or have had any other issues after breast reduction surgery contact our all-female specialist cosmetic surgery team on 0800 083 6290.
